I've kept my old myspace account for similar reasons. I didn't want someone else snagging up the URL/SN. Ditto on my livejournal (by the way, might not be too hard to guess, but they are both "wyrmis"). I ended up starting them back up. Kind of. Myspace is used to chat with my family, mostly (for some reason, they do not use facebook and actually hate FB). Livejournal is sort of a reposting of some of my blog entries. Some of my friends seem to only read blogs if they are part of LJ. It has a long of strong and good memories, too.

I fully agree on cleaning up the online clutter, though. Sure, bits of the old will be drifting around in cyberspace here or there, but having a strong, concise, and thorough place that represents your online presence (clean enough, say, to post on resumes and such) is much better than a dozen social pages where friends might tag photos of you in your bathrobe or something just because they are bored.

By the way, my recommendation is to turn those old sites into pointing grounds for your new sites. "No blogging over here." "Moved on to Facebook." That sort of thing. Unless you don't want people to find your new stuff, then lie and point them to someone else's blog and FB account.

Oh yeah, it is definitely that time again. My favorite is when they come up to you with an obvious want to pick a fight because they have had a bad day. Luckily, possibly because I have siblings, I have learned the "ever calm" method of facial expressions and that tends to work to my advantage.

I agree with you, people become the real family, when they got marriged! Children don't make a family more strong, even vice verce.

hi emily...saw your comments about the flashcards and wanted to reply. they are super easy to make and you could do colors and numbers too. for example:
purple - color of jesus' robe
red- color of his blood
etc...and numbers too:
2 - the pairs of animals on the ark
3 - number days before jesus rose
etc...
i plan on doing those soon. yes i did come up with the idea...it really was just an answer to a problem i had trying to combine learning and theology for a 15 month old :) but it's working. when i ask her about the heart she says amen. sounds simple but she is already associating the shape of the heart with the bible {to which she says amen} funny huh.

good luck.
